Port 25 (SMTP) is not blocked for your server's default IP. However, port 25 is blocked for all floating IPs. If you wish to enable port 25 for any additional IP addresses, please contact us by opening a support ticket and explaining your situation. When you purchase a DDoS protected IP address, we will provide you with an IP address that routes to our DDoS network cloud infrastructure which can filter attacks up to 1.8+ Tbps. Attacks with more capacity than this will result in a null route. The protection analyzes the packets to your server’s IP address and if the system detects non-legitimate packets, it filters them so that the malicious traffic does not reach your server. Please open a ticket and provide us with more information about the incident. We can place your IP address in a more strict DDoS protection mode and we will do everything possible to protect you from the next attack.
If there is a DDoS attack on your non-protected IP, this will result in a null route for the IP address. The null route will be automatically removed within 10 minutes. If the attack persists, the null route will remain until there is no on-going attack. If you have purchased a DDoS protected IP, you can be sure that your non-protected IP will not be exposed.
