How to upgrade your server plan

Do you need more resources for your cloud VPS or VDS server? You can easily upgrade your service to a new plan via the Console. Upgrades are automatically applied within a couple of minutes. However, VDS updates might take longer as we might need to migrate your dedicated instance to another node.
Start by logging into the Console
In order to begin the upgrade process, you need to first log into the Console. Once you have successfully entered your credentials and logged into the system, you need to navigate to your services by using the Servers tab.
How to upgrade your cloud VPS or VDS server
Firstly, locate the service that you wish to upgrade. Next, click on the “Manage” button as shown in the following image:
From here, click on the ‘Scale’ tab. This is the place from which you can scale your server up or down, depending on your needs.
You will notice that there are 2 scaling options available - Scale CPU & RAM and Scale CPU, RAM & SSD.
When scaling only your CPU & RAM, you remain flexible and increase your server resources, while also having the option to scale down later to your original hosting plan if needed, making this the perfect option for applications that require a quick, momentary boost of resources.
If you do scale your server using this method, you will also have the option to later on scale your SSD to your desired plan as well, but doing this won’t allow you to scale back to a plan with less SSD storage.
The second option - Scale CPU, RAM & SSD allows you to scale your entire server plan by getting more of each resource. However, similarly to the case from before, if you do decide to scale your SSD, you will no longer be able to return to a hosting plan with less SSD space.
Once you have selected an option and a hosting plan which you want to scale to, simply click on the "Scale" button.
Your server will become locked until the scaling process finishes.
